Information about each channel (channe name, calibration factor, grid location) is stored in the SQL database called "pem". Sensors on the map store associated channel names in the "id" attribute, so that they can be linked to the right channel in the database. To add a new sensor and its corresponding channel, it is necessary to change both the database and the svg maps. Pictures and sample spectra can also be added for a channel.
